ADDITIONALLY: HE GIVES ME THE FREE WILL TO CHOOSE, BUT IT IS APPARENT THAT ONLY ONE CHOICE IS AVAILABLE. THAT IS NOT, BY DEFINITION, MUCH OF A CHOICE IS IT.
I WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT GOD MIGHT IN FACT BE A PURPLE UNICORN. SINCE IT IS NOT ADVISED TO SEEK EVIDENCE, I SHALL CONSIDER BELIEVING THIS CLAIM WITH BLIND FAITH AS WELL.
IF GOD GIVES ME THE GIFT OF FREE WILL, LOGIC, INTELLECT, AND CURIOSITY, IS IT NOT AN INSULT TO THESE FINE GIFTS WHEN I DISCARD THEM ALL, BECOME A ROBOT, AND BELIEVE IN HIM WITH BLIND FAITH?

ReplyDeleteThough some might condemn you for asking questions, rest assured that Christ himself would encourage you. Take "doubting" Thomas for example--one of Jesus's own disciples. When he told the other disciples that he needed to see Jesus himself, and put his fingers in the holes where the nails were before he would believe that Christ was risen from the dead, Jesus came to him to him, and had him even put his hand into his side where the romans stabbed him with a spear to make sure He was dead. Now Thomas was not being a very good robot on that one :)
Question away, Robot!! If God is who Christians claim He is, than He better be able to stand up to the challenge! He is no God who cannot withstand the questions of His creations.
